Newsec Project Management’s office-centre fit-out portfolio grows – new contract with Danske signed for installation of 12 000 sq. m.

The construction project management company Newsec Project Management’s portfolio of office-centre fit outs grew 20 percent in 2019 while the total of commercial real estate premises installed over the last three years rose to 150 000 sq. m.

Among the largest completed projects are Danske Bank offices (~3 000 work places or 31 000 sq. m. of space), the insurance company Gjensidige’s Vilnius office (~350 work spaces or 4 000 sq. m.), an office of the U.S. business process management and automation firm Cognizant (~350 work spaces or 4 000 sq. m.), fit-out of the Ermitažas store at a shopping centre on Pramonės Ave. in Kaunas (~12 000 sq. m. of space), and a major renovation project at Kaunas Akropolis (~10 000 sq. m.). Newsec has provided construction project management services to clients including SEB Bankas, Telia, Uber, TranferGo and others.

The most recent office fit-out agreement was signed with Danske Bank on equipping 12 000 sq. m. of offices in building IV of the Saltoniškių 7 (“S7”) complex. This is the third phase in fitting out the bank’s offices handled by Newsec’s construction project management experts, who have helped install all the bank’s premises at S7: 12 000 sq. m. of office space in S7 I, 14 000 sq. m. in S7 III, and the new agreement on equipping 12 000 sq. m. in the S7 IV office building.

“We’ve been working with Danske Bank, which has entrusted Newsec with fitting out its offices before, for four years now. We’ve helped update and adapt the bank’s former premises for today’s needs – re-planning its office space and design, modernizing lighting and ventilation, and so on. We’ve also arranged temporary office furnishings for employees of the bank’s rapidly growing service centres. Now this client, in a show of trust, has again chosen us to fit out premises in the final phase of the S7 business centre,” says Tadas Grincevičius, the director of Newsec Project Management.

He stresses that the team, which brings together the various construction project management skills and works with a wide range of contractors, architects and other specialists, can ensure a project’s implementation is not delayed and work is done without exceeding the budget, and implement custom fit-out solutions.

Office fit-out services are gaining in popularity as the office market grows. The tenants of modern office buildings are no longer satisfied with just spacious, bright and comfortable spaces. Non-traditional solutions are increasing, since in creating workspaces priority is being given to employees’ health, creativity, motivation, and other similar aspects that encourage productivity.

“Requests to fit out non-traditional offices and large service centres are most often made by international companies coming to Lithuania or already established here. They’re motivated to invest in high-quality and, increasingly, custom office installation by rapidly evolving attitudes toward work culture and the well-being of employees,” Tadas Grincevičius notes.
